Volcanic stone mortar / molcajete with pestle
Redesign of the traditional mexican mortar, made of a single-hand-carved piece of volcanic stone and a wooden base, ensuring great durability, material quality and uniqueness in each piece.  
 
Taking into consideration the millenary shape of the traditional Mexican molcajete, we and our artisian's team decided to reinterpret it into a more contemporary shape, allowing it to blend into new contexts within your tableware. 
Beside its ornamental function the wooden base also prevents any possible scratches that the stone might provoke on the surfaces.
